Because no body here in greece that have a cnc router, like to work with carbon....i find a solution that is very good in tolerances...i worh a lot with laser cut in my own business, and i find pretty good,to make my drawings for my projects, then to cut them in d.c.p soft metal....and then screwed on the carbon plate, and then "dremel it"
works great!!!!
Yesterday whas my name celebration...and the drives,as they come semi-complete whas my present for sure!!! i like them a lot,and if they are too long,i think that i can milled them again??
but i have one hour for me yesterday,to look them, thinking of them, etc ...like a small boy..xaxa(i think that all ,from us here, have the same thinking some times)
i hope you like them.....
Next part will be the rudder...
i have one ready....but now im thinking for one special, machined from me,as the look of the drives, worth something like this.
i will use twin mini servos,to activate this rudder.....savox sh0257 (if i remember correct)
I'm really pleased to see this Flati on the water!
Go on!
Werner
Im Zweifelsfall scharf nachdenken, .... und dann das Gegenteil machen!
many thanks!!!
i like to use two mini servo in this project, just for the use of two rods instead of one...if i use one servo, even mini, there is no way to put two rods...so i think of this sliding part(is two parts) one for the servos, male, and one glued on the boat female...the servos will go far away back, and only one small screw(m2) will stop the sliding, but from a vissible area, with easy acess...is also a carbon part not ready, yet to hold the other side, and push the male on the female part...
i have make them from 6,2mm diameter solid inox.
the final bigger diameter is in the boushings (5mm)
the diameter in the prop area is 3,17mm (1/8) as i use octura props
the drilling for piano wire 1,5mm
so why i get a bigger shaft...because first i make the piano dril, together with centre drill...and then from the oposit, where m3 nut work...
so i work all the shaft, from the centers,as i like to work in high speeds with no vibrations....but the machining must go with small cutting dephts.
i think that when i finish the rudder blade, and do some work on the robbe roxxy controllers, and before do oxidation to the alum parts (salt water mostly in greece) maby i can test the boat?
Let`s go! I'm very excited.
Alex
nice to see the good metallwork !
Regards Ralf
thanks alex,thanks ralf.....
i whas wondering if is interesting,to see the machining.....or boring....
The first: it`s very interesting
The second: great job
